What Every Woman Deserves to Know About Midlife Health

Welcome to Thriving Through Midlife — I’m so glad you’re here.

If you’ve landed on this blog, chances are you’ve been Googling symptoms that don’t quite add up. Maybe you’ve been told “your labs are normal,” or heard some version of “this is just part of getting older.” Meanwhile, your sleep is off, your cycle’s erratic, your mood is a rollercoaster, and you're not feeling like yourself.

You're not imagining it. You're not alone. And you’re definitely not “too young” for this.

What This Blog Will Help You Understand

This is a space for evidence-based, no-BS education about perimenopause, menopause, and the full spectrum of women’s midlife health. We’ll talk about:

  • What perimenopause actually looks like- it’s not just hot flashes

  • Hormone therapy options — and how to know if it’s right for you

  • Midlife weight changes, strength training, and metabolism

  • Libido, vaginal health, mood shifts, memory fog, and sleep issues

  • Non-hormonal treatment options like Veozah, supplements, and lifestyle strategies

  • What to expect from care — and what you should be offered

This is for the woman who wants to be informed, not dismissed. Empowered, not overwhelmed.

Who I Am and Why I Created This

I’m Dr. Rebbecca Hertel, DO, MSCP — an osteopathic physician, menopause specialist, educator, podcaster, and midlife woman. I’ve built a concierge-style telemedicine practice focused exclusively on women navigating perimenopause and menopause, because the system we’re in just isn’t cutting it.

Too many of us are told it’s in our heads. Too many clinicians were never properly trained in menopause care. And too many women are suffering in silence, confused and unsupported.

This blog is my way of changing that.

What’s Coming Next

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be diving into topics like:

  • “How Long Does Hormone Therapy Take to Work?”

  • “Do I Need Labs to Start Menopause Treatment?”

  • “Is This Perimenopause or Just Stress?”

  • “What to Know About Non-Hormonal Options”

  • “When Libido Drops Off — What Can You Actually Do?”

You deserve clarity. You deserve options. You deserve to thrive through midlife — not just survive it.
